I had Florida in the Elite Eight, but had no idea that they'd be facing Louisville.

Both teams have been inconsistent this year, but I like Florida to make it to New Orleans.

Pitino/Donovan subplot is all kinds of intriguing.

patric young apparently said he is staying on school for one more year at least. if beal stays florida can make it to another elite eight next year

yeah, seriously. They played earlier this year.

BTW, Kidd-Gilchrist gives me a serious basketball hard on. Some guy at a bar last night was trying to tell me that Kidd-Gilchrist will have an Evan Turner type of career. I almost threw up on him.

UNC/Oklahoma in 09.

UNC had Pyscho, Lawson, Ellington, Ed Davis, Zeller
Oklahoma had Blake

Throw in the fact that if Willie Warren would've left after his freshman year, he would've been number 7.

Thats the case any time Kentucky plays a top tier program. Because the Wildcats start 5 first round picks, and usually carry more league ready players on their bench. So long as the team they play has 2/3 prospects, its not rare to see 8/9 guys who will soon be pro players.

In a related draft question, who has hurt their pro stock more in this tournament: Harrison Barnes or Perry Jones?

Perry Jones.

I like Barnes as a scorer/shooter and a defender but I have a hard time imagining him being a good rebounder or making plays for other people from watching him play. Kidd-Gilchrist > Barnes.

Well it goes without saying MKG is superior to Barnes. But let me confirm that you believe Perry Jones has HURT his stock more than Barnes? Because that was the question but your answer was all about Barnes.

and if wanted to be super anal about it we could count taylor griffin as having had a stint in the nba

that's 8 guys who saw nba floor time. we can beat that but how far bak would we have to go? a game involving the other unc squad with felton/may/mccants/hansbrough/williams/etc.?

I completely forgot Danny Green because he wasn't a first rounder.

Eliminating Calipari's Kentucky squads and UNC for the last eight years, I can only think of Ohio State vs. Florida.

Ohio St.: Oden, Conley, Cook, Lighty
Florida: Noah, Horford, Brewer, Speights, Taurean Green, Chris Richard

10 players that got drafted, 7 in the first round
