eh I don't think so. Landeskog was a beast and he played on a shitty team.

Admitted NJ bias.

Cant wait for the draft.

Im so glad (it goes without saying) that EK is locked up. Off season is already a win.

Totally cosigning the Landeskog love. Hes a beast. I like Henrique a lot too tho. But Landeskog deserved it. Great rookie nominees tho. All great players.

Jordan Staal rejects a 10 year extension from the Pens. I think he might just finish out his contract in PGH and then test the free market. Does he have a no-trade clause?

Staal can never reach his full individual potential with Crosby and Malkin ahead of him. Dude needs to be a 1-2 center somewhere else.

Totally could.

He would be so fucking ideal to center ottawas second line.

Zibenijad and a pick for Staal. Get it done!

Fuck you for even trying to put that negative thought into the atmosphere.

haha I haven't been following anything since the stanley cup, but I do remember tons of rangers fans on my facebook feed commenting during the series that are going to get him next year, that's why I asked.

I am unreasonably excited for this draft. Sens have a shitty pick, but the potential for trades (league wide) has me intrigued.

EK should read off the sens first round pick tonight.

Flyers traded Bobrovsky to the Blue Jackets for 3 picks.

As far as Staal goes, it is looking more and more that he wants to play with his bro. Which makes sense and I am not mad at him for it. I would rather have Eric come here though. The Pens are going to have to overpay, or they are going to have to deal him to Carolina. They can't overpay, because they have to sign Crosby and Malkin and Letang a year after that. So it looks like their only option is to trade him to Carolina or to a really desperate team that wants to rent him for half a season or so.

D Help would be nice, but they really need another winger. Shero was talking this week about trying to move some defensemen at the draft. The Pens have like 5 guys in the minors that will play in the NHL on a regular basis in the future. The top ones being Morrow and Depres. They also have Strait who has seen some NHL action already, Bortuzzo, Ulf Samuelsson's son, and a few others I can't think of. So they are pretty stacked at D. They have nothing in the system as far as wingers go. They have a couple, but that is about it. I would like to have a decent winger and solid defensive center and a winger prospect.

I'm kinda cycsed about this draft too. I'm really curious about what Edmonton's first move is gonna be.

Yak is "about" on pace, scoring wise, with where Stamkos was at Sarnia. if I'm an Oilers fan, my heart says draft him and watch the team play 6-5, 7-6 hockey games for a bit. It will silly entertaining. Throwback shit.

My brain, however, says trade the pick for defense, defense, and more defense.

We will trade Phillips, Carkner, Zibinejad, and our 1st rounder. Get it done.

The rumor of the day is that they actually take Murray over Yak, but I don't buy it.
I think they take Yak. Then they can trade for a d man later.

Staal to the Canes for Brandon Sutter, #8 overall, and a prospect. Given that the Pens had their hands forced a bit, that's a good return.

That's some serious WTF. I don't understand that one from the Stars' perspective.

On behalf of the :phila:, id like to thank the city of Pittsburgh for their hospitality. Secondly, Id like to congratulate the Los Angeles Kings for the stanley cup winning season.

Subban to Boston is epic.

Can anyone explain to me why the Flyers drafted a center (who, by all accounts, they reached for)?

WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING!

Michalek traded back to the Coyotes for two prospects and a pick.

so at the end of the day the Pens got rid of Staal and Michalek for Sutter and 4 prospects. Then they pick another defenseman with their second first round pick.

FUCK

They are putting a lot into trying to get Parise. I hope it doesn't backfire.

People liken him to Mike Richards and are calling him a prototypical Flyer pick.

Not trying to justify the pick, but some Flyer blogs are ok with it. Draft is razor thin at forward, mind you.
