Thank god Manning didn't go to the niners. With that defense and Manning(assuming he gets back to his usually level of play) , they would be the favs in the NFC.

exactly, niners management really dropped the ball on this one, enjoy the rest of your offseason 9ers fans!

As I been saying, heard several people report it the last few days too. Why would anyone reach out to him if they wouldn't give him full control of the offense? Everyone knows Peyton is just as much an O-Coordinator as he is a QB, he gives orders, doesn't take em.

elway being in the position he is and having the vision he does for the team is the biggest selling point, but i guess the nfl network people are saying that the seahawks actually flew to denver at some point and sort of ambushed him or something and then were rejected on the spot. if true, sounds like some bitch shit. wack.

i really didnt see it for the guy, but hes got a couple talented young wrs and if he can make austin collie and young, clueless pierre garcon look good then imagine what kind of production demaryius thomas will put up

edit:
the 'i dont want to play against eli' thing makes a ton of sense for him personally and the manning corporate dynasty but the 9ers seems like automatic best choice given that defense, coaching, and offensive personnel

And they're probably gonna bring in Dallas Clark.

let's not forget the Denver D was pretty good last year.

and now that they'll actually be playing with the lead once and a awhile, they should be getting pretty loose out there.

Yeah, you're probably right. I thought that he was younger than 32, for some reason. That 100 REC/10 TD season seems so recent.

If he could manage to stay relatively healthy, it could be a good low risk/high reward signing, as I'm assuming he'll come dirt cheap. He might have a couple good seasons left in him.

They might just sign him and put his locker next to Peyton in order to keep the big guy happy. Any production on the field they get from him would just be a bonus.

Broncos signed QB Peyton Manning to a five-year, $96 million contract.
The biggest free agent signing in NFL history is now official. The amount of guaranteed money is currently unknown, but the $19.2 million average annual value surpasses that of both the deal Manning signed with the Colts last summer and the four-year, $72 million extension Tom Brady signed in 2010. It's an historic amount of money for any player, but particularly for a 36-year-old who didn't play a snap in 2011. The Broncos will now go about surrounding Manning with more weapons and former confidants. First up is likely free agent C Jeff Saturday.

LOL Jets. At least the fans will be smart enough to chant Tebow's name sarcastically. I'm pretty much convinced that everyone in Denver sleeps with their siblings.

i don't know a ton about football, but i am aware of tebow's deficiencies as a quarterback at this point. i wonder what would happen if you converted him to a running back who also threw passes occasionally? he could probably become a pretty good weapon seeing as defences would have to guard against both options. could be the most versatile guy since kordell stewart.

@jredd
if sparano doesnt do that much other than the wildcat, thats kind of exactly what its going to be. to defend the wildcat teams like to overload the rush and leave themselves open in the air. also tebow was a wing t/wildcat qb in highschool and in college (probably to a lesser extent than in highschool if that makes sense)

I'm hoping him in the wildcat works for us. I'm still not a Sanchez fan, but I'm giving him the 3 year thing based on his numbers are similar to Eli's first two.

i hope it works to a degree enough to where sanchize gets cut. as a tebow fan, ideally id like to him to the man in an option offense but whatever. sanchize gets cut, mcelroy steps up. i wouldnt be surprised if bringing tom moore in was to help with the offense and maybe to help groom mcelroy
