I think the masses with go with "Kanye To Tha." But let thinks about this one, Madlib gave us Jaylib, Madvilliany & Slim's Return this year and all three could be considered amazing in their own right. The man has a discography the length of the Constitution. I'm not saying one's better, I'm just asking who do you prefer?

Apples to Oranges homie. apples to oranges.

if you put a gun to my head I'd probably say Kanye though, knowing I'll be in the minority around hurrr. fuck underground cred.

Madlib. I think he has a much wider range of sounds. But then again, he's had a considerably larger amount of time to put work out. I like Kanye's production, but I don't know if he can branch out beyond what he does well right now.

Madlib is always doing something fresh in my eyes.

I like them both, but Madlib has proved himself more versitile.

So far Madlib is killing it, but sometime tells me Kanye is gonna pull a Georgie Dub on this one and come out the winner.

kanye is much more consistent with his shit. madlib is always hit or miss on every fucking thing. his slapdash style turns me off.

madlib is much better. he has more versatility. you can usually ID a kanye beat within a few bars, where its really hard to pinpoint madlibs sound. he makes more classic boom bap shit than kanyes does. i like kanye a lot, but madlibs been making my head nod for a much longer time.

madlib is my favorite producer

kanye is slightly gimmicky sometimes...that chorus singing in "never let me down" i dunno...the whole "I'M ALL ABOUT SOUL, I RE-INVENTED SOUL, SOUL SOUL SOUL"

Madlib makes music... kanye just makes pop songs

I'll take a musician over a gimic anyday.
I also will say I prefer madlib because he doesn't talk, he just keeps quiet and does his thing.
kanye has to talk about how good he is, to sway the idiots into believing he is good. but he usually just sounds like a raving lunatic.

I jumped on the kanye bus earlier, but I'm definitely off it now. I havent listened to his album in over a month and I'm tired of hearing the same old thing from him. I'm tired of seeing tooly whiteboys flipping their collars up because kanye does it. and Kanye is only following the whole retro obsession of late and biting early 80's hip hop fashion.
I want to see him try and pull off some Kool Moe Dee shades or poka dots.

u realize i've never heard a michael bolton song that hasn't been playing in a bathroom of a nice restauraunt or an elevator right?

besides...i was referring to "when it comes to being true..." the opening shit and the hook...it was borrowed but not a direct sample from bolton's record...kanye got people to sing it...it sounds corny...but that's not what bothers me...the corniest shit is what happens during the second half od kanye's voice and part of saul williams' piece...effusive "oooooooooooh, ohhhhhhh" does not constitute SOUL

horrible VS. poll

how many people who vote Madlib arent whiny pseudo-backpacking faggots who were on Kanye's jock before his videos started getting heavy rotation

you're all obviously too cool for the rest of us.
